The Sif Pendulet

The Sif Pendulet — Named for the Golden-Haired Scandinavian Goddess

If you love jewelry that catches the sun — and who doesn't? — you won't be able to resist this glittering goldstone Pendulet.

Aventurescent Goldstone

Goldstone was originally created by alchemists who were trying to make gold. It is glass, with glittery metallic material in it. Even though it is manmade, it is still a beautiful stone, and it’s both fascinating and uplifting to look at.

The aventurescent sheen comes from small metallic inclusions that are the hallmark of all goldstone.

Heart-Shaped Talisman

The heart-shaped focal point is a classical talisman — a carved object, typically an ornamentation, worn for luck. Talismans are commonly confused with amulets, which are carried for protection. Talismans, however, aren't designed to repel — they're intended to bring good things to their wearers.

Measurements

The Sif Pendulet measures 7.5 inches from clasp to clasp, and the four beads that dangle from the bracelet add another inch to its total length. All told, there are 28 goldstone spheres in this Pendulet — which is a magical number, because it corresponds to the number of days in a lunar month. The heart-shaped focal point is about .75 inches long and .75 inches across at its widest point.

About the Goddess Sif

Sif, a Scandinavian earth goddess, has long golden hair that shines in the sun. On warm nights, especially in summer, she enjoys making love beneath an open sky in the fields, symbolically giving life and adoration to the earth.
